Andrea Solomon, LMSW
Therapist for Adults Who Are Tired of Trying to Figure It Out Alone
Maybe you’ve been managing — getting through the days, keeping things together — but something still feels off. Like you’re working harder than everyone else just to feel okay, and you’re not sure why it’s so hard. You’re not doing anything wrong. And you’re in the right place.
Andrea Solomon, LMSW
Therapist | (She/Her)
Hi! I'm Andrea.
I work with adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by patterns they’ve tried to change on their own — often for a long time. My clients are usually thoughtful, self-aware, and genuinely motivated. They’re not looking for someone to tell them what to do. They want a space to slow down, understand themselves more deeply, and actually shift the things that haven’t budged on their own.
I take a trauma and attachment-informed approach to everything I do. That means I’m not just looking at what’s happening on the surface — I’m curious about what shaped it, what’s underneath it, and what might finally make it possible to move differently.
I joined the Onward team because I believe healing happens in relationship. Therapy isn’t just a set of techniques — it’s a real human connection where something new becomes possible. That’s the kind of space I try to create.
You might be someone who:
- Struggles with anxiety, low mood, or emotional swings that feel hard to explain or control
- Has been carrying grief — whether from a loss, a relationship, a chapter of life, or a version of yourself you’ve had to let go of
- Suspects you might be neurodivergent — maybe you’ve wondered about ADHD or autism and finally want to understand yourself through that lens
- Has always felt a little different — like the instruction manual everyone else seemed to get just wasn’t handed to you
- Is going through a shift in identity: who you are, what you want, what fits and what no longer does
- Has tried to change certain patterns — in relationships, in how you feel, in how you move through the world — and keeps running into the same walls
- Is open to therapy but a little skeptical it will actually help this time
If any of this sounds like you, I’d love to connect.
I work at a pace that feels manageable for you — not rushed, not stuck. Sessions tend to feel warm and conversational, with room to go wherever feels most alive or most stuck that day. I’ll ask questions that help you look at things from angles you haven’t considered, and I’ll be honest with you — gently, but honestly. I believe in your ability to find your own answers; my job is to help you hear yourself more clearly and trust what you find.
For clients exploring neurodivergence, I bring curiosity and genuine interest — not a checklist. We’ll look at your actual experience: how you think, how you feel things, how you’ve been moving through the world, and what might finally make sense once you understand your nervous system better.
Specialties
Anxiety Anxiety often isn’t just worry — it’s a nervous system that’s been on high alert for a long time. We work with the whole picture: the thoughts, the body, and what underneath the anxiety is actually trying to protect you from. → Learn more about anxiety therapy at Onward
Depression Depression can look like sadness — or it can look like numbness, disconnection, going through the motions. I help clients understand what’s underneath, rebuild a sense of aliveness, and find their way back to themselves. → Learn more about depression therapy at Onward
Grief and Loss Grief doesn’t follow a schedule, and it isn’t only about death. I work with people grieving people, relationships, identities, futures, and the life they thought they’d have. There’s no rushing it — but you don’t have to carry it alone either.
Trauma Many of my clients carry things from their past that show up in the present — in how they relate, how they regulate, how they respond to stress — without always connecting the dots. I help people make those connections and begin to heal at a deeper level. → Learn more about trauma therapy at Onward
Neurodivergence — ADHD and Autism Spectrum Late-identified neurodivergent adults often carry years of self-doubt, burnout, and the quiet exhaustion of masking. Therapy with a neurodivergence-informed lens can be genuinely life-changing — not just for understanding yourself, but for learning to work with your brain rather than against it. I bring genuine curiosity and affirmation to this work, and I welcome clients who are newly exploring, formally diagnosed, or self-identified.
Emotional Regulation When emotions feel too big, too unpredictable, or impossible to express without it going sideways, it affects everything. I help clients understand their emotional patterns, build flexibility, and find more choice in how they respond.
Identity Exploration Figuring out who you are — especially when that’s shifting — is some of the most meaningful work therapy can hold. Whether you’re questioning relationships, roles, values, gender, sexuality, or simply who you want to become next, this is a space for all of it.
