Tascha Reese, LCSW-S
Hi! I’m Tascha.
I offer Experienced Trauma-Focused Therapy for Adults Ready for Meaningful Change
With over 30 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Supervisor, I bring compassion, honesty, and a touch of humor to every session. I’ve worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting adults who are ready to make meaningful changes—to feel better, connect more deeply with others, and rediscover joy in daily life.
Solution-Focused, Trauma-Informed Therapy with Real-World Results
My approach is grounded in meeting you exactly where you are and tailoring therapy to your unique story and goals. I use a solution-focused, down-to-earth style that helps clients see real progress—often sooner than they expect. I believe healing doesn’t have to be stiff or sterile; it can include laughter, tears, and the occasional well-placed curse word.
I work with PTSD, Anxiety, Addiction, and Co-Occurring Disorders
When I talk about trauma, I don’t just see pain—I see resilience, survival, and strength. You’ve already been through the hardest parts; therapy is where you start to reclaim what’s next.
I provide A Grounded, Honest Space for Healing, Growth, and Resilience
If you’re ready to stop waiting for “the right time” and start investing in yourself, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

Do I Work With People Like You?
I work with adults who are ready to make positive changes in their lives, including those who are experiencing:
- Trauma and difficult life experiences
- Anxiety and chronic stress
- Relationship challenges
- Depression and low self-worth
- Life transitions and personal growth struggles
- Feelings of being stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected
Many of my clients have spent years putting their own needs last. Others have tried therapy before and left feeling like they were talking in circles. They come to therapy looking for something different—someone who will truly listen, help them understand what’s happening, and support them in moving forward.
Can Therapy Actually Help?
Absolutely—but therapy is not about “fixing” you.
I don’t see clients as broken. I see people who have developed ways of coping, surviving, and protecting themselves through difficult experiences.
Whether you’re healing from trauma, navigating a difficult relationship, or trying to understand yourself on a deeper level, therapy can help you:
- Understand the patterns that keep you stuck
- Develop healthier coping strategies
- Improve communication and relationships
- Build confidence and self-trust
- Process painful experiences
- Create lasting changes that improve your quality of life
My approach is solution-focused and personalized. Together, we’ll identify what matters most to you and create a path forward that feels realistic, meaningful, and achievable.
You may be a good fit for Tascha if you:
- Want a therapist who is warm, genuine, and direct
- Appreciate practical solutions in addition to emotional support
- Are ready to make meaningful changes in your life
- Want to heal from trauma without being defined by it
- Prefer real conversations over overly clinical therapy

Who I Work With
Is this you?
Many people who come to work with Tascha are highly capable on the outside — holding careers, relationships, and responsibilities together — while quietly struggling on the inside. They’ve often tried to push through, logic their way out, or simply “stay busy enough” to avoid what they’re feeling.
If any of this resonates, you’re in the right place:
✓You’re high-achieving but exhausted — success hasn’t brought the relief you expected
✓Anxiety or depression has you stuck, even though nothing is “that wrong” on paper
✓You’ve survived something hard and it still lives in your body, even years later
✓You’re an athlete whose performance anxiety or past injury is getting in the way
✓You’re in recovery, or questioning your relationship with substances
✓Chronic pain has become part of your daily life and you’re ready to understand the connection to stress

Sports Performance & Mental Skills
Performance anxiety, injury recovery, identity, and pressure for competitive and recreational athletes.
Depression

Addiction & Recovery
Support for people in recovery or questioning their relationship with alcohol, substances, or behaviors.
Grief & Loss
Loss of a person, a relationship, an identity, or a life you imagined for yourself.
Chronic Pain

What therapy with Tascha is like
My Approach
Tascha brings a rare combination: she is warm and genuinely caring, and she is also structured and direct. She doesn’t believe in spending years circling the same patterns without forward movement. At the same time, she goes at your pace — she’ll never push you somewhere you’re not ready to go.
"She makes you feel completely safe, but she doesn't let you stay comfortable in the same spot either. That balance is exactly what I needed."
— How clients often describe their experience with Tascha
Her work is trauma-informed and grounded in neuroscience — meaning she understands how trauma gets stored in the nervous system, not just the mind. She uses this understanding to help you do more than talk about what happened. She helps you process it, so your body and brain can finally begin to feel safe again.
Therapeutic Modalities
- Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
- Solution-Focused
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Therapy built for the athlete's mind
A Note on Atheletes
Athletes face a particular kind of pressure — one that doesn’t always get taken seriously outside of sport. Whether you’re dealing with performance anxiety before competition, the emotional fallout of an injury, the identity crisis of a season gone wrong, or the transition out of sport entirely, Tascha understands the athlete’s psychology from the inside out.
This isn’t sports coaching. It’s therapy — real, deep work — that speaks your language and respects the mental demands of competitive performance. Many athletes find that the same patterns holding back their performance also show up in their relationships and daily life. Addressing one often transforms the other.
Working Style
Tascha holds the balance between structure and softness — sessions have direction and intention, and they never feel cold or transactional. She brings her full attention to every client, every session.
