EMDR Therapist in Dallas Mindy Kitchens, LMSW

Mindy Kitchens, LCSW

Therapist | (She/Her)

Hi! I'm Mindy.

I believe that we are all our own best experts and advocates. As such, I approach the therapeutic relationship from a place of deep respect for client’s needs, strengths, and personal goals. In my clinical work, I prioritize bringing a calm, peaceful environment to sessions – by instilling a sense of safety and unconditional acceptance, we can work collaboratively through life’s challenges.

Identity-Affirming, LGBTQ-Friendly Therapist

I am an advocate for trauma-informed care. My aim is to help clients find safety and security inside and outside of sessions by teaching coping and acceptance skills and increasing the belief narrative surrounding client growth and self-actualization.

Therapy is a personal journey – one that clients choose freely. However, no one has to go it alone and I am here to help untangle and identify feelings to provide insight and work toward meaningful change. I want to help you realize your power and resilience on the journey to becoming your highest self.

I have experience working with adults and older adults with a variety of care needs. My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, trauma, LGBTQ issues, life transitions, substance use, and caregiver support. Feel free to schedule a free 15-minute consultation prior to scheduling services. If you feel we may be a good fit, please reach out.
