Mens Mental Health Therapist in Dallas Texas and Online
Hi! I'm Joey.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor passionate about supporting and empowering others in their process toward improved wellness. In searching for answers to life’s biggest struggles, I find that the empathic support of a therapist is a tremendous resource.
No doubt pain and uncertainty are two of life’s biggest constants but I also believe that we don’t have to face it alone. These situations, these crises are an invitation to do things differently. The uncomfortable feelings are a sign that something needs to change. The help of a trained therapist helps navigate psychological change, and rewire old patterns and neural pathways in your brain to create change that lasts. Mental health is a process, and we can support mental health just like we support physical health. In fact, we actually become stronger if we are able to share our struggles with and receive consistent, non-judgmental support from others.
Therapy for mental health is a collaborative experience that is based on safety, respect and empowerment.
There’s a great deal of healing that comes from experiencing a secure relationship like this. My clinical work centers around treating substance abuse/addiction issues, therapist for men’s mental health concerns, relationship stress, general stress, and trauma. I have worked in a variety of treatment settings such as jail and inpatient substance abuse treatment centers in several different roles. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and use this therapy often to help people get unstuck and make sense of challenging situations.
Wholeheartedly I look forward to connecting with you & supporting your mental health!
